Recruiting leaflet delivery volunteers

I am looking to recruit a taskforce of any local residents that would be willing to deliver leaflets to other residents of Kingsgrove.

Leaflets? Won’t someone think of the trees?

In an ideal world, yes, I would prefer to keep all the advertising of events and initiatives to electronic means. However, people are moving to Kingsgrove every single week, a trend that will continue for several more years and it is not feasible to assume that everyone will immediately know about all the electronic newsletters etc. Having said that, there are several links on this page that would help.

Other people choose not to have social media and we don’t want anyone to feel excluded from any of these events / initiatives.

At least, if a leaflet is delivered to their front door, we can be sure that we have done as much as we can to let them know whatever news it might be. Whether they actually read the leaflet is entirely their choice.

What is expected of volunteers?

At the moment, we would be asking people to deliver leaflets only on a few occasions throughout the year. It would be most likely in the case of advertising a community event or initiative.

How do I sign up?

It’s easy to sign up – simply visit https://kingsgrove-residents.co.uk/go/leaflet-delivery-contact and fill out the form.

Houses and apartment blocks

Delivering to houses is fairly straightforward but many apartment blocks have secured doors, for obvious reasons. As a result, I would be really keen to hear from people that live in the apartment blocks on Kingsgrove as it would be much easier for them to deliver than ‘outsiders’.

To that end, I have marked the apartment blocks separately in the map so that people can volunteer specifically for the blocks. I understand that some blocks have a mixture of doors accessible from the street as well as those only accessible from the communal entrances but I have not taken that into consideration when applying an identifier to a block.

Similarly, I believe that all of the apartments in Appletons have their own entrances and I have therefore not classed them as a block. If this is incorrect, please let me know.
