“Temporary” fencing to be removed from around play area and woodland walk

St. Modwen, Kingsgrove’s master developer have informed us that, in the coming weeks, fencing will be removed from around the play area and the woodland walk. Despite some of it being in place for several years, it was only ever meant to be temporary and, as such, wasn’t included in the original planning applications.

As such, parents of young children, as well as owners of dogs, are recommended to be extra vigilant.

Preim are investigating installing some natural replacements, especially around the play area. However, the cost of such replacements would need to be paid for by residents through the service charge.

Woodland Walk

The sections of the Woodland Walk that are currently fenced off to protect the growing trees will remain. However, all other fencing will be removed. As such, large areas of the Woodland Walk will have no physical barrier between them and the soon-to-be-opened King Alfred’s Way. This includes the location of the start and finish of the Junior Parkrun.
