The following is taken from a letter that was hand-delivered on the morning of Wednesday 22 April 2026.
It is from ACS, who are the main infrastructure contractor on the Kingsgrove development. Any emphasis is mine.
Starting on Monday 27th April, a phased approach will be implemented to initially undertake drainage surveys and associated works, where necessary.
We will endeavour to keep disruption to traffic and pedestrian routes to a minimum. Where unavoidable, there will be localised traffic and pedestrian management implemented with clear signage and fencing.
The works will be phased as noted below, and as shown in the attached sketch.
- Primrose Avenue – commencing 27th April (4 weeks)
- Cherry Croft – anticipated to commence 26th May (4 weeks)
- Elder Way – anticipated to commence 22nd June ( 4 weeks)
Any changes will be communicated in advance.
On completion of the first phase of works, we will then be able to commence phase 2, which is the final surfacing of the roads and footpath. This will comprise of works to the footpaths, kerbs and wearing course within this highway, which we hope to complete by the Autumn.
Despite the text of the letter, no sketch was attached. I will be contacting the name on the letter to clarify.
